Driver Protocols
One of the greatest risks that members face when heading on trips with the Club is from road accidents. The Club has a good record of never having had any road injury
accidents. But as there is a risk of accidents, we consider it is appropriate for the Club to outline what we expect from drivers on Club trips, whether they be bus, van or car drivers, as well as to outline
what drivers can expect from passengers, and the Club.
Our expectations of drivers on Club trips are that they will:
- follow the road code and licence guides
- not drink alcohol either before driving or while driving a vehicle
- drive at a speed and in a manner that is comfortable for all persons who are travelling in the vehicle (this may be lower than the legal speed limit in some areas)
- pay for any traffic fines they incur (as the Club expects drivers to follow the road code)
- follow the terms of any vehicle rental agreement
