Tramping Tips

There are three ways to lose body heat: Radiation by emitting heat from exposed skin areas; conduction by sitting on a cold rock; and convection by the loss of body heat from wind blowing across unprotected areas of your body.

Do you think people rescued by Search and Rescue should have to pay?
Yes - user pays - charge them the full cost.
Yes- user pays but only charge foreigners.
Yes - a nominal fee (say $200) should apply.
No - it will result in people avoiding SAR help when they need it.
No- Search and Rescue is a humanitarian service.
No - but people rescued should be encouraged to make a donation.
